The beach is cut by several streams, with fine sand and a wealth of rock pools for youngsters and adults alike to explore. Split into two beaches one side of which often attracts surfers. During the summer months you can often spot basking sharks off Kennack Sands, attracted by warm currents that bathe this coastline. These large but harmless filter feeders are amazing to watch as they glide along just offshore.
